NIA raids Eight Kashmir Locations in 'white-collar terror' module case

On Monday, December 1, 2025, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at eight sites in Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam districts of Kashmir. This operation relates to a “white-collar” terror module responsible for a car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, according to officials in Srinagar.

NIA teams searched the home of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian. Wagay has identified as the mastermind behind the radicalization and recruitment of the ‘white-collar’ terror group that uncovered early last month.

He was arrested by police in October, and the NIA took him into custody last month after assuming the investigation into the car blast that resulted in 15 fatalities and numerous injuries.  Raids also took place in the Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora, and Samboora areas of Pulwama. Officials said these locations connected to individuals linked to the Delhi car blast case.

Additionally, the agency searched the home of Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, who arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, during the first week of November.
