An Army soldier killed in movement after security forces and Pahalgam terrorists conducts fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Thursday, officials said. The firing happened in the Dudu-Basantgarh area throughout a cordon and search operation released based on information around the presence of terrorists, they said.
“Based on precise intelligence, a joint operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police released today in Basantgarh, Udhampur. One of our bravehearts sustained grievous accidents in the initial trade and later succumbed no matter fine medical efforts,” the Army’s Jammu-based totally White Knight Corps posted on X. Operations are underway, they said.

The encounter broke out days 26 people killed as terrorists opened fire on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. An officer from the Navy, an Air Force staffs and some other from the Intelligence Bureau had been the various victims of the attack, the worst terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir in recent times.
India suspends Indus Water Treaty
India on Wednesday then downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan and announced some strict measures, such as expulsion of Pakistani army attaches, suspension of the over six-decade-old Indus Water Treaty and immediate shutting down of the Attari land-transit post, in view of the “move-border links” to the Pahalgam terrorists attack.
The measures had been introduced after the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, held a meeting and directed the safety forces to preserve “high vigil” and resolved to convey the perpetrators of the crime to justice.
