On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu will extend the greetings on event of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram’s Statehood day. In a post on X, “she praised both states for natural heritage and cultural traditions.” She said, “Blessed by Mother Nature and have rich cultural heritage, both states are best represent India. I am sure that the people of both states will keep their natural heritage and cultural traditions. I wish the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram start new chapters towards progress and excellence.”
What CM Said on Statehood Day Extension
Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu make similar sentiments, and celebrate the state success, as “land of the rising sun”. It shows Arunachal Pradesh’s journey since statehood in 1987, and he honored the unity and resilience of the people. He said, “From the snow-capped peaks of Tawang to lush valleys of Ziro, our state is not only a place on the map but also a home to rich cultural heritage, resilient hearts, traditions and boundless dreams.” He also added, “ today we celebrate Statehood Day, let celebrate the past, cherish our present & move forward into brighter future.”
Union Ministers JP Nadda and Kiren Rijiju also mark this event, and laud states development and cultural vibrancy. Warm Greetings on Event
Rijiju put focus on its evolution from North Eastern Frontier Agency to a full-fledged state. He further added, “Warmest greetings to my beloved sisters & brothers of state on Statehood Day.” A proud event to starts the historic journey from NEFA to become a Union Territory on 20 January 1972 and achieve statehood on 20 February 1987.
