Rajasthan CM prepare district-wise repair reports of damaged government buildings

Jaipur, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday directed all departments to prepare district-wise reports of damaged government homes and ensure their repair, a official declaration said.

Chairing a high level meeting at his house, he said a committee will also be installation to assess the development high-quality of government buildings, colleges and anganwadi centres build in the last six years. On July 25, a part of a government school building collapsed in Jhalawar district, killing 7 children and injuring 28.

Rajasthan CM take actions to repair Govt buildings

In a similar incident on July 28, a 6-year-old student killed and a teacher injured whilst a pillar of the main gate of a government school building collapsed in Jaisalmer district.

Sharma told all departments to put together district-wise reports of damaged buildings and ensure repair works done without delay. He directed officials to perform timely maintenance by using management funds and publish proposals without delay, as per the announcement.

He said a country level committee will also be constituted to evaluate the development quality of government homes, colleges, and anganwadi centres build in the last 6 years. “In case of any unfortunate incident leading to loss of life, person responsibility will considered,” the CM said.

Government announce 50 crore budget announce for repair works

Anganwadi centres working in dangerous homes already shifted to more secure locations. The Rajasthan CM has released ₹50 crore in the 2025-26 budget for repair of 5,000 anganwadi homes, Sharma said.

He directed officers from departments of public works, education, health, women and child development to investigate and post special reports on all public buildings, specifically faculties and hospitals. Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
