6 people were injured on Sunday when a speeding Lamborghini, driven by the son of a famous tobacco businessman, crashed into pedestrians and two-wheelers on the VIP Road in Kanpur’s Gwaltoli area, police said.

“The accident happened around 3:15 PM near Rev-3 Mall. The luxury car, driven by Shivam Mishra, son of businessman KK Mishra, lost control and ran into people standing by the road and several vehicles, causing panic in the area,” DCP (Central) Atul Kumar Srivastava said.
Eyewitnesses reported that the car first hit an auto-rickshaw and then crashed into a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle, throwing its rider nearly 10 feet into the air. The car ran over the motorcycle’s front wheel and dragged it for a distance before hitting an electric pole and stopping.
6 injured badly
One of the injured, Taufiq, a resident of Yamunaganj thrown several meters and suffered serious leg injuries, police said. Others received fractures and bruises.
Angry locals gathered at the scene and surrounded the car, forcing the driver to stay inside. Witnesses claimed that private bouncers with the driver tried to push back the crowd and acted aggressively, raising tensions.
Police arrived quickly, rescued the driver, and took him and the injured to a private hospital. The damaged Lamborghini confiscated and taken to the police station, officials said.
