On Saturday, Telangana’s irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy direct officials to take instant steps to deploy robots for the rescue work in Telangana SLBC tunnel collapse. There are 8 people, include engineers and labourers trapped since 22 Feb. As per PTI report, Reddy visit the tunnel site and review the ongoing rescue operation with officials of various organizations. he said that Telangana government will spend ₹4 crore to undertake rescue operations by using robust services of Hyderabad-based private company.
What Minister said on Telangana SLBC tunnel collapse
Reddy describe tunnel collapse as a “national disaster”. The government make the efforts on rescue operation through conditions in tunnel. It includes the low levels of oxygen, high seepage of water and the sturdy parts of TBM that drowned in water and soil. It pose challenges to operation. The rescue operation has enters on 15th day to evacuate the trapped persons. The Kerala Police deployed cadaver dogs who determined two possible spots. The rescue personnel have remove silt at the locations recognized by the dogs, as per reports.
Cadaver dogs joined rescue operations
After Telangana SLBC tunnel collapse, cadaver dogs of the Kerala police joined the rescue teams take canines in tunnel. The dogs are trained to find missing human and human bodies. The cadaver dogs of Kerala police can detects the small from depth of 15 feet, as per officials. NDRF Medical team has gone inside tunnel to ensure SOP as and when workers are traced, he said.
