Three people died, and over ten others were injured in a Bus-Lorry Crash in Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh. The tragedy occurs near Shirivella metta in Shirivella Mandal when a private bus headed to Hyderabad collided head-on with a container lorry, causing both vehicles to catch fire.

The accident occurred around 2 am. An ARBCVR Private Travels bus was carrying 36 passengers from Nellore to Hyderabad. Reports indicate that one of the bus tires burst, causing the driver to lose control.
The bus crossed the central divider and crashed into an oncoming container lorry. The collision sparked a massive fire that quickly engulfed both heavy vehicles. The dead included the bus driver, the lorry driver, and the lorry cleaner. They were trapped in the wreckage, and their bodies were burned beyond recognition.
Brave Truck Driver Save Massive Deaths
A potential mass casualty event was avoided thanks to the brave actions of a passing DCM truck driver. When he saw the Bus-Lorry Crash, he stopped his vehicle and broke open the jammed doors of the burning bus. His swift response allowed most passengers to escape the flames. Several passengers also jumped through the bus windows to get out, suffering minor injuries in the process.
Although the passengers survived, the fire destroyed all their belongings. Locals alerted the police, who quickly arrived to help with rescue efforts. The injured passengers were later taken to the Nandyal Government General Hospital for medical care.
