Wipro invests $1 billion in AI-driven future

Wipro invests AI future

In response to recent announcements from TCS and Infosys, Wipro has indicated that it is focusing on enhancing its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities as well. As it launched Wipro ai360, an end-to-end innovation ecosystem, Wipro announced on Wednesday that it plans to invests $1 billion over the next three years to advance its artificial intelligence AI capabilities.

Wipro said in a press release that the $1 billion investment will boost its AI, data, and analytics capabilities, R&D and platforms, enhance FullStride Cloud, and create new consulting capabilities to help clients adapt to change and unlock value through artificial intelligence.

In addition to training all 250,000 employees in AI fundamentals and responsible AI use over the next 12 months, it will also provide more customized, ongoing training for employees in AI-specialized roles.

With the emergence of generative artificial intelligence, we anticipate a fundamental shift ahead for all industries. New business models, new ways to work, and new challenges as well. “We are ready for the AI-driven future!” said Wipro’s CEO and MD, Thierry Delaporte.

Across all operations and processes, as well as client solutions, Wipro’s ai360 ecosystem is at the heart of all its AI efforts, the company said.

The Wipro ai360 business unit will bring together its 30,000 data analytics and AI experts with its technology and advisory ecosystem.

To develop new solutions and embed artificial intelligence into all processes and practices, cloud and partnership capabilities, data, analytics, AI, design and consulting, cybersecurity, as well as engineering capabilities will be leveraged. Delivering new levels of agility, speed, and depth will be made possible by its new global business line model.

As part of the Wipro ai360 ecosystem, Lab45 will provide clients with talent, training, scale, and research and co-innovation capabilities to accelerate adoption of AI.
