India Immigration Bill proposes 7-year jail term and 10 year Jail for using fake passport

The Union Home Ministry has proposes India Immigration Bill, aiming to manage India’s immigration laws with stricter results for illegal access, fake documents, and foreigners. If exceeded in Parliament, people using cast passports or visas to go into, stay, or go out India should put into 7 years of jail and fines of ₹10 lakh. 

India Immigration Bill Pass Stricter Rules for Foreigners in India 

The proposed regulation introduces stricter guidelines to display and recognize foreigners in country. Hotels, universities, instructional institutions, hospitals, and nursing houses might be legally bound to record international nationals staying on their premises. This step is geared toward curtailing illegal overstays and making sure a tighter grip at the movement of foreigners. 

Also, international airways and ships should offer a passenger and team appear at Indian ports before arrival. Advance submission of travel info will assist authorities track people getting into the country.

Heavy Penalties on Fake Documents 

Under the India Immigration Bill, all of us must using or offering fake travel documents or fake visas will face at the least 2 years in jail, that may extend up to 7 years. A best of at the least ₹1 lakh, extendable up to ₹10 lakh, may also be imposed.   For foreigners getting into India without valid documents, the penalty may be up to 5 years in jail and a fine of up to ₹5 lakh.
