PAK ISI allegedly used Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra to discover Indian undercover agents, as per sources. This comes as Malhotra, currently in five-day police custody, is being interrogated by a joint team comprising the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and Haryana Police.
PAK ISI and Jyoti Malhotra Linked
Sources say that WhatsApp chats between Malhotra and an ISI handler named Ali Hasan have surfaced, revealing coded conversations related to India’s undercover operations. In one of the messages, Hasan asked Jyoti if she noticed any undercover agents receiving unique protocol during her visit to the Attari border. The particular use of terms like “protocol” and “secret agent” in their communication has led agencies to suspect that ISI was using her to gather intelligence on Indian operatives.
When asked through Hasan, “Who received the protocol whilst you have been at Attari?” Jyoti spoke back dismissively, saying she failed to acquire any. Hasan then hinted that watching who gets protocol is a way to identify undercover agents, sources introduced.
These communications have raised big issues for investigators. Agencies at the moment are working to decide whether or not Malhotra assisted the ISI in its attempts to reveal Indian intelligence agents or was being managed as part of a broader espionage network.
About Jyoti Malhotra
Jyoti Malhotra, who first visited Pakistan in 2023 all through the 324th Vaisakhi Festival, is being investigated for her alleged involvement in the cross-border impact operations. Her contacts with Pakistani officers, along with Ehsan Dar alias Danish, a Pakistani High Commission professional, recently declared character non grata by India on May 13, deepened suspicion of her activities.
Though Malhotra first of all denied any links with PAK ISI, investigators declare she has been evasive and has attempted to mislead. Intelligence resources trust that she can be a part of a bigger spy ring or impact marketing campaign orchestrated by Pakistan.
