The Telangana High Court on Wednesday, April 2 ordered a halt to the Cutting of 400-acre land in Hyderabad in Kancha Gachibowli until Thursday, April 3. The court gave the meantime order while hearing the Public Interest Litigations filed by HCU college students and the Vata Foundation.
Cutting of 400-acre land in Hyderabad Pause
The court room took up the PILs for listening to on Wednesday. While adjourning the hearing to Thursday, the court directed the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) to stop all work. The counsels for the petitioners sought a live at the works, announcing the TGICC was cutting the bushes by numerous bulldozers.
The petitioners submitted to the court room that the government in June last year issued a Government Order, shelling out 400 acres of presidency land to the TGIIC. They argued that even supposing this is government land, the government involved has to follow the Supreme Court orders. The court room became advised that heavy scars had been getting used to uproot trees and level the ground.
Petitioners advise to HC
The counsels for the petitioners contended that, as per the Supreme Court order, a committee of experts must be constituted to Cutting of 400-acre land in Hyderabad from forested land. If the land inhabited by flora and fauna is to be leveled, a professional committee has to go to that region and observe it for a month.
The petitioners advised the courtroom that the land has 3 lakes, several rocks, and many species of animals and birds and that they want to be covered. The court become instructed that authorities had been performing against the Supreme Court suggestions, and a tense state of affairs had prevailed over the previous number of days. Appearing on behalf of the state authorities, Advocate General Sudershan Reddy informed the courtroom that the land was allocated to the IMG Academy in 2004, and because the enterprise did not use the land as per the agreement, the then government canceled the allotment.
