According to the index, which evaluated the strengths of 145 countries, India has the fourth strongest military in the world. In the ranking, Pakistan is at number 9 and Bhutan is at number 6.
There are around 60 factors taken into account in the index, including the number of troops, military equipment, financial stability, geographic location, and available resources.

According to the Power Index, the US has a score of 0.0699, Russia has a score of 0.0702, and China has a score of 0.0706.
In terms of military strength, South Korea overtook the UK and became the fifth most powerful country in the world.
In addition, GFP analyzed the defence budgets of 145 countries.
The US spends the most on its military with an $831 billion budget, followed by China ($227 billion), Russia ($107 billion) and India ($74 million).
Among the top five defence spenders, the US accounts for 63.3% of total expenditures.
