The government’s move follows an Allahabad High Court ruling aimed at eliminating caste-based discrimination, officials said on Monday.
Akhilesh Yadav criticize Yogi for removing caste references
Akhilesh Yadav posed several questions to the state government. He asked if the government would end the conspiracies tied to caste discrimination that involve defaming someone with false and humiliating claims. He also inquired what done to eliminate the caste discrimination that has persisted for 5,000 years. Yadav shared his thoughts in a post in Hindi on X.
Yadav, a former Chief Minister, questioned what actions the state government would take to remove caste discrimination related to clothing, attire, and symbols. He asked how to stop the mindset that involves asking about someone’s caste when meeting them.
Yogi order fine on Caste Rallies
According to PTI, the government has instructed that vehicles with caste-based stickers or slogans will be fined under the Motor Vehicles Act. After this, Akhilesh Yadav reacts and slam the government.
The order, sent to all police units and district administrations late Sunday, complies with a September 16 Allahabad High Court ruling aimed at eradicating caste-based discrimination, a senior official said.
Officiating chief secretary Deepak Kumar has directed that the caste of accused individuals should not appear in police registers, case memos, arrest documents, or on police station notice boards, as stated in the official order.
