A new round of heated debate on Republic TV saw Arnab Goswami once again make headlines for asking some very hard-hitting questions. In the viral video, he exposes relationship between Cocaine and Congress.
Known to be a confrontational kind of person, Arnab stormed into an alleged nexus involving cocaine, Columbia, Dubai, and the Congress party ahead of the Haryana polls. No one can throw direct punches quite like Arnab, and this time he aimed straight at Congress.
“Has the Congress even cross-checked the background of Tushar Goel? Do they not know he’s linked to a massive cocaine operation?” Arnab thundered during his debate. Tushar Goel, an office bearer of Congress, was recently arrested in a massive drug bust involving 560 kilograms of cocaine worth ₹5,600 crore.

He continued to hint at other deeper connections. The video debates that why is the Congress silent on the claims about Columbia? Even the social media users comment that why is Rahul Gandhi not answering? Arnab referenced Rahul Gandhi following some recent social media reports alleging a connection between the Congress leader and Columbia, known for its drug trade. Though unverified, Arnab’s aggressive tone and allegations had the people on the panel murmuring as well as the others in the audience.
The BJP readily capitalized on the matter. BJP spokesman Gaurav Bhatia was seen parroting Arnab Goswami’s views at a Press conference. He insisted that Rahul Gandhi should clear his party’s stand. Congress is no longer the corrupt party; it is now ‘ Cocaine Congress’. The summary of these statements can be that all the corrupt leaders are under the umbrella of Congress, and most of them are connected with the drug mafia as well.
BJP’s claims against Congress
The Congress has been placed on the back foot. Its youth wing had earlier claimed that Goel had been expelled from the party last year due to “anti-party activities”. The BJP has termed this a “backdated forgery”, asserting that the expulsion needs to be proved with digital evidence. Now, the outcry is high as Arnub exposed relationship between Cocaine and Congress.
The Modi government, Bhatia said, has adopted a zero tolerance policy towards the drug menace. The BJP thinks that they are pushing the youth towards education and innovation, while Congress is pulling them into the dark abyss of drug abuse. The BJP is clearly positioning itself as the moral crusader, claiming that Congress has failed the nation’s youth by allowing such individuals to thrive within its ranks.
The controversy is likely to be a major talking point in the coming elections to the Haryana state assembly. Arnab is not letting his feet be taken off the gas pedal and is continuing his quest for answers. The political climate in the state will only go up in the coming days. Whether Congress would like to come clean or carry on with these allegations is yet to be known.
