On Tuesday, Delhi Police has case file against Amanatullah khan over MCC violation. He violates the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) over late-night campaigning a day before the Delhi Assembly elections. He was charged with poll code violation after he spot on Tuesday with over 100 supporters in Zakir Nagar.
A case has been filed under Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act (prohibition of election campaigning) and Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (disobeying orders given by public servants) and registered against a legislator from Okhla.
Silence Period after Delhi Police case file against Amanatullah khan
The authority has pose silence period. It is a period of no campaigning, just before 48 hours of the election. Under Section 126 of the RPA, no party are allow to participate in public meeting or election campaigning till end of voting.
This incident just came a day after war of words between AAP leaders and central poll body, and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena, are also charged for poll violation. A case has been filed against Atishi to arrive at Fateh Singh Marg on Monday night in the ‘silence’ period.
