Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought to an end a debate in Lok Sabha, to celebrate the 75 years of the Indian Constitution, by putting forth 11 resolutions in Lok Sabha, to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. His almost two-hour talk focused on highlighting his government’s successes, emphasizing citizen’s duties, and describing the ambition of “Viksit Bharat.
PM Modi again stressed that the progress of India is on account of the will of its 140 crore citizens. He expressed hope in the potential of youth, the power of Indian women (Nari Shakti), and the united endeavor of the masses. In 2047 when India will be celebrating 100 years of independence, the world will see a developed India,” he explained and called upon the country to take up the 11 resolutions in Lok Sabha as a blueprint, he added.
The 11 Resolutions for Transformation
The Prime Minister outlined a comprehensive list of goals, emphasizing the importance of both citizens’ and governments’ responsibilities. The important issues were to incorporate all the people into the inclusive development, to fight against corruption, and to eliminate the vestige of a “slavery mentality. PM Modi also called for stronger pride in Indian heritage and urged the expulsion of nepotism in politics.
The 11 resolutions presented in Lok Sabha also emphasized safeguarding the spirit of the Constitution and its integrity while granting reservation to the exploited communities, without the introduction of religion-based reservation. Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, development for all) was restated as a framework to be followed for inclusive growth.
Focus on Women-Led Development
India was a peculiar resolution to become a pioneer in women-powered development around the world. PM Modi stressed the importance of women in building the destiny of the nation and sought systemic support for their empowerment in every field.
The PM further called upon every Indian to observe the rule of law with honor and emphasized that state-level developmental activities should be aligned with national objectives. He called this “development mantra” that provides progress for all parts under the banner of “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” (One India, a shining India).
The Path to 2047
PM Modi contended that these aims achieve fruition only through the engagement of all citizens. He noted that the 11 resolutions in Lok Sabha were not just a vision but a clear strategy to eliminate obstacles like corruption and divisive politics. He emphasized the need for a collective mindset to uphold Constitutional values and unite for a stronger future.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister expressed confidence in India’s ability to fulfill this ambitious vision, saying, “I wish everyone the best for the task of achieving a developed India.“
