Chidambaram MP Thol Thirumavalavan and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president took a dig at actor-turned-politician Vijay. VCK’s Thiruma criticise actor Vijay and other film stars who enjoy the luxury in their young age and then enter in politics.

Thirumavalavan speak at public gathering in Kambainallur town and said, “Some individual work in the film industry till their 50 or 60 years age to achieve wealth and enjoy luxury. They spend their early years in living comfortably, and then enter in politics to gain power. He also said, “they believe they can launch party now and make government tomorrow without hard work.”
He contrasts the Vijay’s political journey and said, “It has taken VCK 30 years to recognized as state party. I have sacrificed my sleep, youth, food and rest. I am not involved in any kind of entertainment such as traveling abroad, or watching movies. It is cost to achieve political status.”
Vijay floated his political party
VCK president said that he is committed to spread ideologies of Dr BR Ambedkar, Periyar and Karl Marx. He float his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), on 2 Feb last year. After VCK’s Thiruma criticise actor Vijay , he claim that TVK would win a historic victory as same as make by Anna Durai in 1967 during the DMK’s debut in politics. The event attend by political strategist Prashant Kishor who announce that he will work for TVK success in 2026 Assembly elections.
Other senior TVK leaders who took part in event includes former VCK vice president Aadhav Arjuna and now serve as TVK’s election campaign general secretary. Arjuna was suspended from VCK in December and appointed to current position in TVK on 31 January
