Family dispute lead men to burn himself
The owner of the house where the incident occurred said, “Last night at 8:30 PM, when we heard about the fire, my husband, mother-in-law, and I were inside. We first thought the fire was just because of short circuit. Later, people gathered at our doorstep and told us the fire was actually inside our home,” said Paramjeet, the house owner.
“As soon as we went outside to check, we saw a young man running down, engulfed in flames. He then fell down the stairs and lay at the bottom. He was completely naked, and his body was badly burned. After lying there for about 10 minutes, he managed to speak. We called the SHO because we couldn’t reach the emergency helpline (112) at that time. We also called for an ambulance. An officer arrived and recorded the young man’s statement on his phone.
