There is stampede tragedy occurs at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy stadium. 13 Youngsters and 3 teenagers was dead in Bengaluru Stampede tragedy. All are under 40. Among the victims who dead in stampede, there are 3 teens and 6 people of 20-30 age group.

Most of them had included their friends to cheer their team, RCB, which won the IPL trophy after an 18-year wait. Many had been from Bengaluru, but a few had traveled from different districts too. What began as a party ended in tragedy as the huge rush, beaten safety protocols, led to a stampede. 11 people killed and 47 others injured.

Victims dead in Bengaluru Stampede

The victims identified AS Divyanshi (13), Doresha (32), Bhoomik (20), Sahana (25), Akshata (27), Manoj (33), Shravan (20), Devi (29), Shivalinga (17) and Chinmayi (19) and Prajwal (20). Hasty preparations, lack of enough planning, and a massive rush of fans are some of the factors that caused the tragedy.

People Raise Questions over Management

Questions raised around the state government’s decision to organize a event on the Vidhana Soudha in which Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar felicitated the team. The venues, Vidhana Soudha and Chinnaswamy stadium created a Bengaluru Stampede, because of VIP presence on the Assembly complex, a number of security employees deployed there. This caused a limited range of law enforcement officials to tackle lakhs of fans at the Chinnaswamy stadium. The stadium’s capacity is around 35,000, and the rush passed 3 lakh.
