India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is facing legal issues after a lawyer from Pune filed a police complaint. The complaint alleges that he showed disrespect to the Indian national flag during the T20 World Cup victory celebrations in Ahmedabad.

The complaint, submitted at the Shivaji Nagar police station in Pune, concerns the celebrations that took place at the Modi Stadium after India won the T20 World Cup for the third time. A police officer confirmed that advocate Wajid Khan filed the complaint and take strict action, but did not provide additional details.
The complaint states that several videos of the Indian team’s post-match celebrations have gone viral on social media. In one clip, he seen celebrating with the Indian Tricolour draped over his shoulders as he dances and runs across the field.
Girlfriend also in controversy after T20 Win
The complaint also claims that during the celebrations, Hardik Pandya was lying on the stage with his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, while the Tricolour remained draped over him. The complainant believes this constitutes disrespect towards the national flag.
“You must have seen the T20 World Cup here. He was dancing with his girlfriend in celebration of his victory. The national flag tied to his back,” Khan told.
