Abhishek Sharma’s impressive fifty well supported by left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav. India defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in a Super 4s match, securing a spot in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Wednesday.
Bangladesh dismissed for 127 in 19.3 overs. Sri Lanka, having lost both their Super 4s matches, is now out of the final race. Thursday’s match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will serve as a virtual knockout for the final spot on Sunday.

Kuldeep (3/18), Axar Patel (1/37), and Varun Chakaravarthy (2/29) caused most of the trouble for India with the ball. For Bangladesh, Saif Hassan (69 off 51 balls) was the top-scorer.
Earlier, opener Abhishek scored 75 off 37 balls. However, the other batters did not manage to score significantly as India ended up with 168 for six. Abhishek and Shubman Gill (29) put together a strong opening stand of 77 runs in 6.2 overs, giving India a solid start. Once Gill and Abhishek were out, the Indian middle order struggled to keep the momentum going.
