Australia All Rounder, Marcus Stoinis has announce his retirement from ODI cricket, and out from upcoming Champions Trophy race. Stoinis now focus on T20 cricket and available for Australia team in that format. He score 1495 runs in 71 ODIs at average of 26.69 with a best of 146 not out against New Zealand team in Auckland in 2017, and took 48 wickets at 43.12 apiece. “After make an announcement on Marcus Stoinis to retire from ODIs, he said that Playing ODI cricket for Australia is an incredible journey, and I am Thankful for that moment.”

Stoinis said, “Representing my country is the something that I always cherish.” This was not my decision, but I believe it is high time to step away from ODIs and focus on my career. I have make fantastic relationship with Ron [Andrew McDonald] and I appreciate this support. Stoinis was part of the ODI World Cup 2013 squad and performed a vital role with the ball against Pakistan when Australia starts their fightback from a poor begin to the tournament and ended as champions.
He played only one more ODI after this World Cup, against Pakistan this season, and did not get the Cricket Australia contract last year. But it marks his role at the Champions Trophy because of the injury of Cameron Green.
