Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women achieved a historic win in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 final. Delhi capitals set the target but fails to meet it. RCB chased down a huge target of 204 runs to beat the Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets. This victory marks RCB’s second WPL title after their 2024 win.

They now share the title of most successful team with the Mumbai Indians. The match took place at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on Thursday, February 5. RCB Wins Second WPL Title against Delhi Capitals

After losing the toss, Delhi Capitals, led by Jemimah Rodrigues, batted first. They scored 203/4 in their 20 overs, the highest first-innings total in WPL final history. Laura Wolvaardt gave them a strong start with 44 runs off 25 balls. Rodrigues played a crucial role, scoring 57 off 37 deliveries.

Chinelle Henry added fireworks at the end with 35 runs off 15 balls, but RCB’s bowlers kept them in check. The pitch favored batting, putting pressure on RCB from the start.

Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll lead epic chase

RCB responded boldly and assertively. Captain Smriti Mandhana played a captain’s innings, hitting 87 off just 41 balls. Her aggressive style kept the required run rate under control. She built a vital partnership with Georgia Voll, who scored 79 runs off 54 balls in a steady yet powerful manner. This partnership shifted the momentum firmly in RCB’s favor.

Even after Mandhana was dismissed late in the innings, the team remained composed. This victory completed the highest successful chase in WPL history with two balls to spare.
