Bharti Airtel records more than 115 million spam calls and 3.6 million spam messages on its network, which were detected on Thursday. The telecom giant launched a new AI-backed spam detection tool to combat the issue. This tool is available to all smartphone users among Airtel’s 387 million subscribers.

Airtel’s spam detection tool will soon be brought to feature-phone users. Airtel records more than 115 million spam calls, which puts it against similar services like Truecaller. This tool alerts users in real-time about suspected spam calls and messages and can be used with a simple application download.

Bharti Airtel received more than 115 million spam calls and passed the tool details to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. SEBI, RBI, and TRAI were informed about this AI-based solution as well. The tool analyzes behavioural patterns of users to track spammers and save legitimate enterprise services.
