OpenAI has launched a new agent tool for ChatGPT, “Deep research OpenAI.” It helps to streamline complex research tasks. This new tool is initially available to Pro users and saves you a lot of hours on online research. It compress the hours of research into few minutes.
This new tool is builds on OpenAI latest o3-models, and tackle research tasks. On this company state that system is trained on different complex browsing and reasoning challenges, and handle large amount of information efficiently. This agent has to search the internet and handle complex tasks in various domains, such as science, finance, and technology. It gives detailed reports with citations that match to quality of research experts, OpenAI stated.
A Benchmark Improvements by Deep research OpenAI
Deep research has scored 26.6% accuracy in the last humanity exams. It tests the AI expertise of this tool in various subjects. This score is higher than previous OpenAI Models, such as GPT-4o at 3.3% and o3-mini-high at 13%.
This tool shows higher gains in humanities, chemistry, mathematics, and social sciences as compared to previous models. The Deep research tool has evaluate 466 real world tasks and score 72.7%, and break the record of the previous 63.64% score.

A Expensive Tool for OpenAI
The users need to buy a subscription of ChatGPT Pro at $200 per month to access to Deep research tool. This subscription gives you access to 100 requests through your web version. Deep research OpenAI works faster than humans, but expensive agent for openAI.
According to current plans, the company will going to expand this access to Team and Plus users in month, and supports the desktop and mobile applications. The users with the current version will get access to 10 Deep research requests per month with Plus Premium. It give less requests in free tier, Altman state. The users from EU, UK and Switzerland are unable to access to this service currently.
