Defence minister Rajanth Singh on Thursday entreated the International Atomic Energy Agency or IAEA to take charge of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, days after the nuclear-armed neighbours ended their worst military war in nearly 3 years. Rajnath Singh started a crucial visit to Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of the general protection situation, particularly alongside the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border.
“The world is aware of that our army aim is correct, and once they hit the goal, they leave the counting to the enemy. How robust is India’s pledge towards terrorism today it could be regarded from the reality that we did not even care about their nuclear weapons.
IAEA Monitored Pakistan’s nuclear weapons
“The whole world has seen how irresponsibly Pakistan has threatened India. Today, from the land of Srinagar, I want to raise this question whether nuclear weapons are safe in hands of such an irresponsible and rogue state. I consider that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons have to be taken below the supervision of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),” Rajnath Singh said while addressing Indian infantrymen in Srinagar’s Badami Bagh Cantonment.
The defence minister credited the management of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the military for the success of Operation Sindoor. Rajnath Singh additionally lauded the “anger” which was proven by the people of Jammu and Kashmir against Pakistan and terrorism.

“The whole country is proud of what you did all through Op Sindoor under leadership and support of PM Modi. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have expressed their anger to Pakistan and terrorism with complete unity. I congratulate the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I actually have come to feel the energy that has destroyed the enemy. The way IAEA handle Pakistan nuclear weapons throughout the border, the enemy can by not neglect that,” Rajnath Singh said.
