Members of the Indian network in the United Kingdom held a strong protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in London, condemning the current Pahalgam Terror Attack, wherein 26 people lost their lives. The demonstrators, carrying Indian flags, banners, and placards, expressed grief over the lack of innocent lives and demanded justice for the sufferers.
The protesters chanted slogans, which include “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Pakistan Murdabad,” while preserving signs that examined “I am Hindu.” They accused Pakistan of sheltering and helping terrorist businesses responsible for attacks.
Protestors over Pahalgam Terror Attack
One of the protesters told the news agency, “They (Pakistan) have nurtured a fear, and due to which our 26 people had been killed in Pahalgam. We have amassed to protest against it.” Another member of the Indian diaspora focus that the entire Indian network in the UK is agitated over the “terror attack,” but still show their team spirit and grief.
An Indo-Jewish protester highlighted common concerns, announcing the Jewish network supports India as both countries face threats from radical Islamist terrorism. He also compared the Pahalgam tragedy to the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel. The terror attack occurred on April 22 at Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam, wherein terrorists opened fire on tourists, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen and injuring numerous others.
India’s Response
After Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Indian authorities take some diplomatic measures, which included the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, the final Attari Integrated Check Post, suspending the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme for Pakistani nationals, and reducing diplomatic personnel in each country. These steps highlight a strong diplomatic stance against Pakistan.
