Lahore Blast News, drone shot down day after Op Sindoor

Sirens went off and people ran out of their houses as a sequence of Lahore Blast heard on Thursday. The incident comes a day after India struck terror camps in Pakistan, in an operation named ‘Sindoor’.

Local media reports said the blasts heard in the Gopal Nagar and Naseerabad areas of Lahore close to Walton Airport. Visuals showed people running out of their houses in panic and suggested seeing clouds of smoke. The place adjoins Lahore’s posh central business district and the Lahore navy cantonment. Local reviews stated flight operations at Sialkot, Karachi and Lahore airports suspended temporarily.

Lahore Blast with drone

Police sources told Samaa TV that the explosion caused by a drone, measuring 5-6 ft. The drone was reportedly shot down through jamming the machine, the sources stated. However, No casualties or harm to civilian infrastructure suggested so far.

Terror camps struck in pakistan

On Wednesday, a joint operation by the Army and the Indian Air Force (IAF) destroyed terror camps in 9 places in Pakistan linked to banned outfits Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) under ‘Operation Sindoor’.

While the IAF achieved air-to-surface missile attacks using Rafale jets, the Army launched surface-to-surface missiles, sources said. The precision strikes killed 80-90 terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, sources said. The authorities maintained that no Pakistani army infrastructure attacked, and the chosen sites chosen with care to prevent the lack of civilian lives. In his first response to Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif termed it an “act of battle” imposed by India. Even India provided sufficient visual evidence of terror camps being targeted, Pakistan claimed that the strikes killed civilians, which include women and childrens.
