Three days after the Pahalgam terror attack, firing was reported from a number of Pakistani posts alongside the Line of Control (LoC) through the Pakistan Army throughout the night – an uncommon development not stated in recent times, as per reports. The Indian Army has retaliated. There have been no casualties reported from the Indian side.
“The Pakistani Army fired small arms alongside the border. Our troops replied. Further information are being ascertained. There have been no casualties,” reports said.
Why Pakistani Open fire along Line of Control
Not see you later ago, the Pakistani Army opened fire from small arms on an Indian post along LoC in Poonch district in February. Next, India also retaliated. No injuries or material harm had been reported. However, this incident comes in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 tourists. Both India and Pakistan were on high alert, with Islamabad issuing a no-fly sector over the Arabian Sea amid the Jammu and Kashmir terror incident and a missile test scheduled for today.
Gunfight between terrorists and Army Forces
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a gunfight broke out between security forces in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir and terrorists on Friday. A terrorist has been injured. On the other hand, security officials of a senior police official have also been injured.
The security forces release a cordon and search operation once they obtained data about terrorists hiding in the forests of the Bazipora place. The search operation soon was a gunfight because the terrorists opened fire along Line of Control. On Thursday, a soldier with the Special Forces was killed in movement as joint security forces engaged in a gunfight with terrorists in the Udhampur district. After Pahalgam attacks, the security forces released a large manhunt to capture the 5 to 6 terrorists concerned in the mass killings.
