PM Modi visits France to bring the 3 Scorpene-class ‘hunter-killer’ submarines to India. The statement on India – France relationships released on Wednesday and confirms the progress made towards the manufacturing of these submarines in Mumbai. AIP technology integrated in it allow the conventional diesel-electric submarines, that is what Scorpene-class vessels are and stay underwater for long time. DRDO-developed technology enables detection features in submarines when on a mission.

India and France welcome the discussions regarding helicopter and jet engines, missiles, etc. Modi also invite France to look at Pinaka Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher, and says its purchase will another milestone at Indo-French defence level. Last year in November, India completed the flight test of the system successfully. It confirmed the accuracy, impressive range and rate of fire to deal with different targets.
