Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised US President Donald Trump for his peace efforts in Gaza. This came just hours after Hamas accepted parts of Trump’s 20-point peace plan. “We welcome President Trump’s leadership as peace efforts in Gaza make decisive progress. Signs of releasing hostages mark a important step forward. India will continue to support all efforts for a lasting and fair peace,” PM Modi wrote in a post on X.
PM appreciate Trump for releasing hostage
Earlier this week, PM Modi had praised Trump’s Gaza peace plan. Says it offers a practical way to achieve long-term and sustainable peace for both the Palestinian and Israeli people.
“We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a practical pathway to long-term peace, security, and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people. We hope that all involved will unite behind Trump’s initiative, end conflict and achieve peace,” he wrote on X.
Trump’s response promote peace
Trump urged Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza” and expressed his belief that Hamas is ready for a “lasting peace.” “Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza so we can get the hostages out safely and quickly. Right now, it’s too dangerous to do that. We are already discussing the details that need to be worked out. This is not just about Gaza; this is about the long-sought peace in the Middle East,” Trump posted on Truth Social. He also shared a video message thanking all the countries that helped bring about peace in the Middle East.
