Taliban Minister alleged Pak For Border Turmoil, Says this mistake will cost you dearly

In a significant rise in diplomatic tensions after weeks of deadly Border Turmoil and failed peace talks, Afghanistan’s Interior Minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani, has strongly criticized Pakistan. He accused Islamabad of spreading its internal conflicts across the Durand Line. His speech on Thursday, given during the closing session of a Firefighting Directorate training seminar, highlighted the distrust between the two neighbors.

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan over Border Turmoil

“The people of Afghanistan may have internal problems, but they stand united against foreign aggression,” Haqqani stated, indicating his remarks were directed at Islamabad. He cautioned Pakistan that “if you bring your problems into Afghanistan and create turmoil here, this mistake will cost you dearly.”

This statement comes amid increased hostilities along the Pak-Afghan border. Recent clashes between Taliban forces and Pakistani troops have resulted in several casualties. Both sides have accused each other of unprovoked aggression, while attempts to reduce tension, including a round of peace talks in Istanbul led by Turkish officials, reportedly fell apart earlier this week due to disagreements over cross-border terrorism and US drone operations.

Afghanistan give threat to pakistan

Haqqani, a key figure in the Taliban’s leadership and head of the Haqqani Network, aimed to show Afghanistan as ready to defend itself despite a lack of advanced weaponry. “We do not have long-range missiles or powerful weapons, but our resolve and determination are strong,” he said. “If our patience is tested again, the response will be crushing.”

His comments also hinted at Pakistan’s internal problems. “We have repeatedly told the Pakistani side to solve their issues internally,” Haqqani emphasized. “Everyone should focus on the well-being of their own country. That expectation should not fall on another nation.”

His speech signals a tougher stance in Kabul following weeks of mutual accusations. Pakistani officials have claimed that the Taliban shelters Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants who launch attacks from Afghan territory. Kabul has rejected these claims, asserting that Islamabad is using Border Turmoil to distract from its domestic security issues.
