Renault Group has announced its plan for 2030, which includes launching 22 new models for the European market and 14 for international markets, including India. CEO François Provost presented the strategy in Chennai.
Renault Reveals ‘FutuReady’ Plan by start Duster SUV Deliveries in India
The French carmaker is aiming for significant growth in global markets, especially in India. As part of this plan, the company will introduce seven new models in India by 2030, making the country one of its top three priority markets.
India remains an important hub for company, with its Chennai facility serving as one of the brand’s largest manufacturing sites. The company has set an ambitious export target of €2 billion by 2030 to strengthen its global production presence.
Platforms & Future Product Strategy
Renault Group currently uses two main platforms in India. The CMF-A platform supports models like the Renault Kwid, Renault Triber, and Renault Kiger. The second platform is the RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform), which backs the newly launched Duster and the upcoming three-row SUV.
Company has also introduced a new architecture called the RGEP (Renault Group Entry Platform). This platform will support ICE and CNG engines and accommodate 5-, 6-, and 7-seater configurations. It offer various transmission options, including AMT and CVT gearboxes.
