An FIR filed at the Rohtak Sadar police station regarding the suicide of Haryana police officer Sandeep Kumar, according to sources. The FIR names four individuals: Sandeep Kumar’s wife, P Avneet Kaur, Bathinda Rural MLA Amit Ratna, IPS officer Y Puran Kumar gunman, Sushil, and one other person.

Officials have not provided a copy of the FIR, as investigations are ongoing. The filing of the FIR represents an important step in the case, which has attracted public and political attention in Haryana. Authorities have not revealed the specific charges against the accused, and the investigation is active.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem for ASI Sandeep Kumar set for tomorrow at 8 am. After the procedure, the cremation will take place at 12 noon at a local crematorium in Rohtak.
Two suicides, growing controversy
The case has gained widespread attention following the shocking suicides of two senior Haryana police officers. It received claims of caste discrimination, corruption, and extortion within the state police. Reports linking police officers to gangsters have added to the credibility issues facing the force.
The situation began with the suicide of IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. On October 14, ASI Sandeep Kumar, who was looking into corruption claims against Puran Kumar, reportedly shot himself. He left a note and a video accusing Puran Kumar and his family of bribery and sexual harassment of female officers.
