Hyderabad Police Crack Down on Illegal LPG Racket, 129 Cylinders Seized

A group of four people was arrested on May 5 in Hyderabad for illegally selling commercial LPG. Authorities seized 129 gas cylinders, a vehicle, cash, and mobile phones worth Rs 7,50,000 from them.

Hyderabad Police arrested 4 people in Illegal LPG Racket

The suspects were identified as Yalam Parthip Kumar, 21, Jallela Mallesh, 25, both agents of a gas agency, Mora Nagarjuna, 32, a driver, and Nagulapally Mallesh, 56, a customer.

Seized 129 Cylinders

They were apprehended in IDH Colony, New Bhoiguda, Secunderabad, for selling commercial LPG cylinders to customers at inflated prices. Of the cylinders seized, 25 were filled, and 104 were empty.

The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone Team, worked with Gandhi Nagar Police to make the arrests based on a tip-off.
