Lawyer’s SUV Murder Case update: Hyderabad Police Arrest Two
Special teams created by police commissioner V.C. Sajjannar picked up the two suspects from Bengaluru and brought them to the Abids ACP office in the afternoon. The police did not confirm the arrests, which led to large protests by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supporters and followers of the slain lawyer. Moizuddin had fought against the accused over Waqf properties.
Khaja Farhan, the lawyer’s son and also a High Court advocate, expressed concern for his safety. He questioned why it took so long to arrest those responsible for his father’s murder. Police sources indicated that a supari gang hired by the suspects committed the crime. After the murder, the gang fled towards Shamshabad using the PVNR Expressway.
Seized their vehicle and SUV used in attack
Police noted that the assailants seen scouting Moizuddin’s house from five days. CCTV footage showed six individuals, two inside a vehicle and others on bikes, as part of the investigation.
Reports suggest that the main conspirators planned the murder carefully to avoid capture, allegedly hiring new individuals from other states to carry out their plan.
Police have identified five individuals involved in Moizuddin’s murder and retrieved the SUV used in the attack. The vehicle’s registered owner detained at the ACP office. The owner claimed to investigators that he sold the vehicle six months ago, but the new buyers had not re-registered it.
