A 17-year-old girl was shot by a man in Faridabad. He had apparently been stalking her for several days. The incident occurred outside a private library that both the girl and the suspect attended for study sessions. It was captured on CCTV.
Authorities said that the suspect knew the girl’s daily routine and waited for her to arrive. The CCTV footage, which appeared soon after the shooting, shows the man waiting before the girl arrived.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect had tracked the girl’s movements and knew the route she took to and from the library. The girl, who is currently receiving medical treatment, identified the shooter, saying she recognized him because he had harassed her before. “I know the boy; he had been troubling me for a long time,” she told the police.
Police officials revealed that after shooting the girl, the suspect discarded the weapon at the scene. Officers found a homemade pistol shortly after the attack. A police spokesperson confirmed that teams have been set up to capture the suspect.
