Shocking Family Crime in Ahmedabad Woman and Lover Kill Brother-in-Law After Murder Plot Fails

What started as a love story within a family ended in betrayal, deception, and murder in Ahmedabad. There was a shocking twist involving a “contract killer” who sent a photograph of a sleeping man as proof of murder to collect his payment.

Women and lover kills brother in law in Ahmedabad

The Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrested a 50-year-old woman and her lover for allegedly murdering her husband, dumping his body in a canal, and attempting to cover up the crime as an accidental death in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district.

According to investigators, the woman, JagrutiGoswami, was first married to Sukhdevgiri Goswami and had two children with him. Her life changed dramatically when she allegedly fell in love with her husband’s older brother, Shantigiri Goswami. Police said Jagruti left her husband and children, eloped with Shantigiri, married him, and began a new life in another village.

Toxic relationship end in murder

But the betrayal did not stop there. Shantigiri, a truck driver, often stayed away for weeks. During his absences, Jagruti allegedly started another affair with a man named Kantilal, also known as Bharat Sabaria. The relationship became so serious that Kantilal rented a house next to theirs so they could meet freely while Shantigiri was away on trips.

Police said the lovers soon viewed Shantigiri as an obstacle and allegedly plotted to eliminate him.

However, the first murder plot took an unbelievable turn. Investigators revealed that Jagruti and Kantilal allegedly hired a man named Yunis to kill Shantigiri for Rs 25,000. One night, Yunis entered their house to carry out the murder, but lost his nerve after seeing Shantigiri asleep. Instead of killing him, he quietly took a photograph of the sleeping man and sent it to Jagruti, falsely claiming the murder had taken place.
