Nida Khan, accused of forcing religious conversion and sexual harassment at the Nashik branch of TCS suspended from the company last week. Several other employees are also under investigation. News agency has obtained Khan’s suspension letter, which cited a “serious matter” as the reason for her suspension.
Nashik TCS Branch HR Manager Suspended
Khan joined the company in December 2021 and worked as a process associate. The letter, dated April 9, stated, “This is to inform you that the Company made aware of a serious matter reported against you, pursuant to which you are currently in judicial/police custody.
Considering the seriousness of the matter as reported and that you are presently unable to perform your official duties, the company has decided to place you under suspension with immediate effect until further communication and decision in the matter by the management.”
Company prohibited her to work till further notice
The letter, signed by Shekhar Kamble, the HR head for Nashik, Pune, and Goa, mentioned that Khan’s access to the TCS network is temporarily revoked. It instructed her to arrange for the return of any company property in her possession. It also directed her not to report to any company office or work from any other location or home till she receives further communication from the company’s designated HR officer.
Additionally, the company instructed Khan not to discuss the issue with any other TCS employees and to maintain strict confidentiality. The letter warned that any failure to cooperate could lead to disciplinary action.
