The cybercrime awareness caller tune featured star Amitabh Bachchan removed from Thursday, after customers complaint. The pre-recorded message play every time when user made phone call. It is part of Centre’s marketing campaign to spread records on increasing cases of cyber fraud.
“The marketing campaign come to an end and now, caller tune removed from today,” sources said. The improvement comes amid increasing court cases that the caller tune seemed to be an impediment during emergency conditions as callers not connected immediately.

Recently, Mr Bachchan trolled for the tune, and get sharp reactions from the actor. On Monday, the actor shared a random post that read: “Ji haan huzoor, main bhi ek prashansak hoon. Toh?? (Yes, sir, I’m a fan too. So??).”
A social media user responded to the post and wrote: “Toh phone pe bolna band kro bhay (So stop announcing it at the phone).” To this, the actor said: “Sarkar ko bolo bhai, unhone jo kaha humne kar diya (Tell the government, I did what they informed me to do).”

Another user attacked Mr Bachchan over his age. In response, he said: “Ek din bhagwan na karein who jaldi aaye, ap bhi sathiya jaayenge. Parantu humarein yaha kahawat hai – jo satha, who patha.”
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan was criticised over a pre-recorded caller tune on precautions against Coronavirus. A public interest litigation also filed in Delhi High Court, searching for a direction to take away his voice from the tune, after he and some of his own family members trolled.
