Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis’s wife, Amruta Fadnavis, said on Wednesday that she has started riding a bicycle for short trips. This move comes in response to PM Modi’s call for fuel conservation. She also shared a video of herself cycling on the streets of Mumbai on X.

“Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for fuel conservation, I started using a bicycle for all work within a 5-7 km radius of my home. It is a small personal step towards saving petrol and diesel while also embracing a healthier lifestyle,” she said.
Why she not attend Cannes Festival
Earlier this month, Amruta Fadnavis mentioned that she not attend the Cannes Film Festival in response to the PM’s appeal for austerity.
She invited to represent Maharashtra, its culture, and the state’s handloom heritage at the prestigious film festival in France, as she noted in a social media post.
