Car Plunges Off Gorge Near Chintpurni, Killing Two Pilgrims

A tragic accident occurred on April 29 at around 3:30 PM in Chintpurni, located in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. A speeding Swift car lost control on the road and fell into a ditch about 200 feet deep. The whole incident recorded on camera, and the video is circulating online.

The video clearly shows the car losing control at a turn and plunging into the gorge. Reports indicate that the Swift car (PB-10K-7531) went out of control, possibly due to a tyre burst. The vehicle caught fire after the fall, leaving no chance for the occupants to escape. Police noted that the car fined for overspeeding near Dehra about half an hour before the accident.

2 dead in tragic incident

After falling into the deep gorge, the car ignited. Police and fire brigade personnel alerted and rushed to the scene. Firefighters managed to put out the fire and recover the victims. One body found outside the car, while the other burned inside.

Documents found in the car suggest that one victim was from Ludhiana. It is believed the two were returning from visiting the Chintpurni temple. Police are investigating and working to confirm the identities of the deceased.
