The Bangalore police resolved the custody battle, bringing the argument to a peaceful conclusion. Yashir Mushtaq, an X user, shared details and videos of the incident on the platform.
After being impregnated by the neighbor’s male cat, the female cat had four little kittens. The owner of the female cat burst into the neighbor’s house and demanded that, since the neighbor owned the father, they responsible for raising and caring for the kittens. This sparked a heated argument between the families, prompting a spectator to call the police.
Police investigate the case
The police arrived and quite amused. They mediated the situation, suggesting that neither family had to keep the kittens and that a third party adopt them if interested. Both families agreed to this plan, and the kittens moved to their new home, successfully resolving the matter.
Social media reactions mixed, sparking serious discussions about the responsibilities of pet owners and conversations about neutering practices.
“How did they separate the kittens from the mother? They should have waited four weeks before giving them away. Both cats are responsible, so they kept for two weeks each,” one user commented.
