Civil aviation ministry urge airlines to avoid hike in Srinagar fare, ask for additional flights

Civil aviation ministry has requested airlines to ensure there is no surge in airfares on the Srinagar route and airways will also be running also flights to the city. Terrorists struck at a top traveler location in Pahalgam in south Kashmir on Tuesday, killing as a minimum 26 peoples, commonly travelers, and injuring several others.

Air India and IndiGo will perform a total of 4 also flights from Srinagar to the national capital and Mumbai on Wednesday. Airlines have also waived ticket rescheduling and cancellation prices. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu held an urgent meeting with all airline operators and issued a strong advisory against surge pricing at the Srinagar route.

Airlines had been directed to maintain daily fare levels, making sure that no passenger is burdened throughout this sensitive time, an report said.  Terrorists opened fire at a famed meadow near Kashmir’s Pahalgam city on Tuesday afternoon, killing 26 peoples, normally vacationers.

“In view of the prevailing state of affairs, Air India will function  additional flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai on Wednesday, April 23,” Air India stated in post. An IndiGo official stated it’ll operate two also flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai on Wednesday.

Maharashtra Deputy CM request Naidu for instant transportations

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde spoke to Civil aviation ministry K Rammohan Naidu regarding the tragic incident in Pahalgam, wherein travelers from Maharashtra lost their lives.

According to Shinde’s office, he has requested Naidu to make preparations for the immediate transportation of the mortal remains of the deceased from Srinagar to Mumbai. In response, Naidu has confident that each one critical measures will be taken and unique preparations might be made to facilitate the return of the bodies at the earliest, Shinde’s office said.
