CM Revanth Reddy launch ₹71 Crore Shastripuram Grade Separator in Hyderabad
The project is located in Shastripuram and connects Mailardevpally to the Falaknuma RTC Bus Depot. It was built at a cost of ₹71 crore. This development aims to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the area.
The newly built grade separator stretches 490 meters in total, with the railway portion measuring 37.28 meters. The flyover is 16.60 meters wide and has a 4-lane carriageway with two lanes on each side.
Ease Travel, reduce traffic and avoid delays
This modern structure will allow for smoother traffic and help eliminate the delays that have affected commuters at the railway crossing for a long time.
The design of the project uses modern engineering methods. The viaduct has open foundations with a single pier and RCC precast pier caps for the substructure. For the superstructure, it uses steel girders. The bridge has POT-PTFE bearings and both modular and strip seal expansion joints to ensure it lasts and operates smoothly. The approaches include reinforced earth retaining walls with geo strips, along with precast friction slabs and crash barriers for better safety.
