Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was injured in IED blast in Bijapur Chhattisgarh on Friday. This blast are triggered by Maoists in Sukma district Chhattisgarh, as per reports. The incident occurred on Friday evening. It is when the CRPF team from the 202nd battalion of CoBRA was out on an area domination operation. The injured constable, Arun Kumar Yadav stepped over IED, that cause blast, and led to CRPF CoBRA personnel injured.
CRPF CoBRA personnel injured, Constable out of danger
The injured constable was tested under the administered preliminary treatment and airlifted to Raipur for further care. He is out of danger now. The Maoists frequently plant IEDs with forest roads and tracks in the Bastar region to target security forces. The Bastar division also comprises seven districts, consists Dantewada and Sukma
Other IED blast cases
The CRPF CoBRA personnel injured when an IED blast occurs in Sukma. The two security personnel got injuries in a similar in Bijapur on February 4. On January 17, two personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) were injured due to an IED blast in the Narayanpur district. On January 16, two CoBRA commandos were injured in a blast in Bijapur. On January 12, a 10-year-old girl was injured at Sukma district, and two policemen got injuried in Bijapur district in similar blasts.
According to the Chhattisgarh government, there has been a reduction of 47% in incidents of Naxal violence and a fall of 64% in deaths of civilians and security personnel. It results from violence during 2024 than 2010.
On Friday, Police has informed that three Naxalites carry a cumulative reward of 38 lakh surrendered in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district. Vikram alias Sandip Tulavi (40), Nilabai alias Anusaya Uike (55) and Vasanti alias Dullo Hidami (36) laid arms down before officials of CRPF and Gadchiroli police.
