The Gurugram police demolished illegal structures on government land in Kasan village on Wednesday. They say these structures are linked to a criminal. This action is part of an ongoing effort to dismantle criminals’ financial networks, according to officials.
Illegal Buildings with criminal background demolished in Gurugram
The operation focused on encroachments by Balbir, also known as Chhalla. He lives in Kasan village and had reportedly occupied the land by building shops, kiosks, and huts.
A team from the Crime Branch in Palam Vihar conducted the joint operation with the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and District Town Planner R S Bhatt, who is also the Nodal Officer.
Demolished operations on person named Balbir
According to the police, Balbir has a criminal record with eight cases against him, including theft, extortion, and offenses under the Excise Act.
A police spokesperson said, “The investigation revealed that Balbir had illegally occupied government land. He collected rent by building shops, kiosks, and huts on it, and also used it for other criminal activities.”
Officials noted that all illegal structures were removed under heavy police presence, and the land was cleared.
