At least five Indore police officers suspended for breaking into a house, acting inappropriately with the owners, and stealing gold jewelry in Indore.
This incident occurred on the night of April 1, prompting a departmental investigation. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Kumar Prateek said that the action followed a formal complaint from the victim. He said, “This incident occurred on the night of April 1 when five to six policemen went to the complainant’s house.

A complaint received that these officers forcibly entered the house by breaking down the door and behaved improperly. Upon receiving the complaint, all five policemen suspended.”
He added that ACP Vijaynagar is currently investigating the case, and further action will depend on the findings.
According to officials, the policemen were trying to execute a warrant related to a cheque bounce case involving Gaurav Jain, who has a financial dispute with retired ACP Rakesh Gupta.
20 tola gold stole
The complainant also claimed that nearly 20 tola of gold jewelry stolen during the incident. “The investigation also looking into the Lasudia TI, and if his involvement is confirmed, action will be taken,” Kumar said.
In a separate incident, a 35-year-old man stabbed to death following a dispute over bike parking in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district on Sunday night, a police officer said on Monday.
