Modi Receives Warm Welcome in Sikkim for 50th Statehood Celebrations

PM Modi held a large road show in Gangtok this evening. He was joined by Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Golay and state BJP President DR Thapa. Thousands of people came out to greet the Prime Minister during his two-day visit to the state. Enthusiastic attendees, dressed in traditional clothes, lined the route from Ganju Dwar to Lok Bhawan to catch a glimpse of him.

Mr. Modi greeted the crowd with folded hands. Earlier, upon his arrival at Libing helipad, he was welcomed by Governor Om Prakash Mathur, the CM, the state assembly speaker, and senior ministers.

Will launch multiple Development projects

Tomorrow, Mr. Modi will take part in the closing ceremony of Sikkim 50th Year of Statehood celebrations at Paljor Stadium. He will inaugurate and launch several development projects worth over four thousand crore rupees across the state. These projects address infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, the environment, tourism, and agriculture.
