The public’s anger erupted when a Delhi-registered motorcycle caused severe congestion on Bengaluru DVG Road due to improper parking. Reports indicated that parking in a restricted area or a poorly managed space severely limited traffic at peak hours, leading to a major traffic jam.
The motorcycle was parked so poorly that it hit some blocks and got stuck, worsening the congestion on one of DVG Road’s main routes.
Illegal Parking on Bengaluru DVG Road
With traffic worsening, residents, pedestrians, and drivers found it increasingly difficult to navigate the area. Traffic officials had to step in. Bengaluru Traffic Police were notified and arrived to handle the situation. A verbal confrontation occurred between the vehicle owner and traffic personnel during their exchange.
Authorities are looking into complaints of inappropriate behavior against law enforcement, though it remains unclear what specifically happened in their conversation. This incident once again highlighted ongoing issues with driving discipline and illegal parking in cities like Bengaluru.
Many areas face heavy traffic
Areas with many vehicles and limited parking in Bengaluru face heavy traffic congestion. A single incident can affect hundreds of commuters within minutes. Traffic experts have pointed out that one poorly parked vehicle disrupt the flow along an entire road, especially on busy streets like DVG Road.
They stress the need for strict enforcement of parking rules and believe it has been much more effective to prevent such incidents altogether. Traffic officials also verify vehicle registration and check if it meets interstate usage rules.
